Violence is not the Answer

Fri Apr 10, 2009, 2:53 PM
...It is the question. The answer is: "Yes."

Armed my trusty, five-year old laptop who's clearly on her last legs (poor thing) I have once again come to resolution to actually learn how to do something new with the various collection of graphic programs I've accumulated over the years.

How long this resolve will last I cannot say. Perhaps a month, perhaps a year. Either way, I am stating said resolution for the record (and so that I guilt myself into working everytime I look here).

Also, I have nothing to read. This is bad. Expect casualties.

Oh, if only I could draw...

I agree to that. Half the time I consider responding to people in such aligned a matter, until I realise that killing people for their stupidity is still, regretably, illegal.

Have you ever read Night Watch (or Daywatch or Twilight Watch) by Sergei Lukyanenko? Brilliant man. The movie adaptations even carry along seemlessly thanks to the author himself writing the screen play. The dubbing of the movie was also done brilliantly - presumably because it's the russian actors simply speaking in english over their original lines.

Eesh, sorry about the delay in replying. I have no excuse.

It is a shame that killing people is illegal. Supporter of natural selection should be a life choice, like going green or whatever.

Yes, I read both Nightwatch and Daywatch and saw the movies when they came out too. I was highly impressed with both of them, although a Russian friend of mine claims a lot is lost in translation.

Also, your artwork is too good. I've just seen your Evenstar work, and I'm commenting here because my browser is being somewhat retarded and locking when I open more than one DA tab... go figure.

If you've read Nightwatch and Daywatch, there's always the Twilight watch.

And methinks you could draw if you set your mind to it. You have your own way of seeing the world... try to show it to other people.

Life's a one time deal"

While I appreciate the vote of confidence, I am pleased enough with other talents that my bemoaning my lack of drawing ability is mostly just for fun.

As for my way of seeing the world? I do show it people. Daily.

...Sometimes violently, but I maintain that they bring it on themselves.
